They have the BEST GOULASH in Nuremberg! I visit Nuremberg every year once or twice. Gregor Samsa is the restaurant I like to return for a good atmosphere and especially for goulash. They prepare several goulash varieties and some can change by season. The host is very friendly. You will get a decent portions and you can enjoy your meal with good drought beers🍺

It's a small and crowded restaurant which only serves goulash. Every night they have a regular one and a couple of different variations.
It's also a very laid-back place, so don't expect any formalities or them to rush your orders. They take their time wile you relax and chat with a drink.
They are also very welcoming with children. They prepared a small plate of goulash for my small son and brought it before the rest so he could eat without waiting. And also moved us to another table (moving other customers) were he was more confortable.
Fantastic food. The service was a little bit inconsistent and slow, but the atmosphere and quality of the food more than make up for it. The art is also beautiful.

First of all you have to like goulash! If you do, this is the place to go. Awesome goulash in different variations. Place is quite small. Only thing that surprised me: We had reserved a table for 4 people but then they put us at a table together with 2 other people...
Had a great time food was traditional and very tasty, they only do goulash but do it very well.
Delicious heartwarming goulash. Choose whatever ingredients you desire, and whether you’re a vegan or schpeck lover they have something for you. Great cozy atmosphere with 60s 70s rock, hippie music, candlelight and ‘bad 90s art’ on the walls. Excellent service, good choice of beers or wine, all Frankly (sic!) priced.
OMG that is all I can say. Best food ever! Gulaz was amazing. Guy running this place really enjoys his work. Whenever I am in Nuremberg I will wisiting this place.
If I could give 10 stars I would. By far the most humble yet incredible restaurant I've ever been to. The staff is so extremely friendly and the price for the largest portion of the best goulash you've ever had is more than fair. Also, the atmosphere is very comfortable with classic rock playing in the background and the walls decorated with a local artist's paintings. Although hidden at the end of a small street, I would definitely recommend searching this place out. Thank you for the hospitality!
